Applying sunscreen may seem easy and straight forward, however it is easy to miss key areas of our bodies. According to a consumer Reports article by Sally Wadyka “No matter how diligent you are with your sun protection, little lapses can leave certain spots vulnerable to sun damage and even skin cancer.” She points out that the scalp, ears, eyelids, lips, hands, back of neck, back and feet are the most commonly overlooked areas of the body.

The Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation helps promote sun safety education, prevention and early detection of skin cancer. We educate the community through our SunSmart America™ K-12 Curriculum which provides school-based learning on sun safety and skin cancer. Please take a few minutes to review the article for potential life saving tips about sunscreen application.
