Baseball HOF Mike Schmidt helps the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation “Strike Out Melanoma”.Since January 2016, at the South Florida Fairgrounds, Mike Schmidt, and his Winner’s Circle Charities, has partnered to help educate everyone on the importance of sun safety education for prevention and early detection.

On many time, Mr. Schmidt has been candid about is own melanoma incidence, and has appealed to the public, to make sure they protect themselves in the sun. The reveal of “RAY”, Palm Beach County’s first automatic sunscreen dispensing unit, at the Fair, was met by much enthusiasm and excitement. “I spent my life in the sun without protection. I am currently a melanoma survivor because I see my dermatologist regularly,” said Schmidt. “I have partnered with the Richard David Kann Foundation whose mission is to increase the awareness and importance of sun safety.
