Yesterday May 6, 2016, the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation, in conjunction with Palm Beach County Parks and Rec, Commissioner Paulette Burdick and donor Joanne Leibovit, placed “RAY”, the first sunscreen dispensing unit in a public park/golf course in Palm Beach County. The unveiling ceremony was held at the beautiful Okeeheelee Golf Course, in the butterfly garden, where the program included some very poignant speeches, the reveal of “RAY”, photos, and refreshments.

Key Speakers and Attendees: County Commissioner Paulette Burdick, PB Parks and Recreation Director Eric Call, Executive Director Stacy Ostrau, (RDK Melanoma Foundation), Mrs. Rachel Kann (RDK Board Treasurer and mother of the late Richard David Kann), Joanne Leibovit (RDK Board Secretary and mother of the late Attorney Jeffrey Leibovit, for whom this generous donation was made), Laurie Schobelock (PB Parks and Recreation Aquatics Director), Christopher Korbelak (PB Parks and Recreation Manager, Office of Public Engagement), Michelle Borenstein, (SAM “students against melanoma” Club liaison), and Woodlands Middle School HOSA students.
